We’re on the hook!
As a member of the AICPA, we follow the Code of Professional Conduct, not simply to maintain membership, but because it’s what we believe in. We commit to doing what is in your best interest.
While we strive to make our fees competitive, we know that the value delivered per dollar of fees paid is a lot more important than being the cheapest.
We’re ugly!
Flash and pizazz might impress some people. But, instead of investing in marble and maple offices, suits, and tricks to make you think you should feel honored to work with us, we work in an unfinished basement, so we can keep pouring into the tools, technology, processes, and people that will make accounting services a lot less sucky for you!!
We’re comfortable
Suits are nice but wearing one doesn’t make you a more qualified, caring or passionate person.
We will slap ourselves if you ever have to say “representative” when calling us. That does not mean we don’t love technology. On the contrary, any technology that is cost-effective and will make our collective lives better is fully embraced. But there is no substitute for being known as a person. Tax prep and business planning are personal, so we are personal, and we love our clients. Money is emotional, and we know that no matter how technically skilled we are, people won’t be interested in our fat heads unless we can connect in the heart.
We have fun and love what we do inside and outside of the office. Just like you, even though we try to avoid it like the plague, every once in a while, we find out that we made a mistake. BUT we admit it, make it right, learn from it, and do our best to make sure it never happens again. We highly value time, so as much as possible we’ll work with you virtually with a personal touch. As much as we know you’d like to make a trek through bumper-to-bumper traffic to hang out in our basement, we want you to know it’s not required.
We screw up!
Just like you, even though we try to avoid it like the plague, every once in a while, we find out that we made a mistake. BUT we admit it, make it right, learn from it, and do our best to make sure it never happens again.
You won’t see a bunch of Harvard diplomas on our wall, but we have passed a lot of really hard tests (you can read about them here).
We don’t hire lazy people.
We work hard and hard work works! Just like our clients, we value EARNING our money and taking care of it. We value sweat, both yours and ours so we treat your financial affairs just like ours.
